Jim Long

Jim Long, Managing Director, Operations, joined Lincoln Road in 2021. His strength is running fast growing, widely dispersed businesses, having done so as a CEO in the environmental, transportation, home services and food services sectors for over 20 years. These businesses ranged in size from $60 million to $1 billion in revenue, 500 – 13,000 employees, 46 states and overseas, union and non-union and up to 400 locations. He recognizes that success starts with strong leadership at all levels, focused on employee engagement through continuous improvement. Companies he led include Veolia Environmental Services – Solid Waste, ATC Transportation (privatized transit systems), Trinity Services Group (kitchens and commissary in correctional facilities), Church Services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical and foundation services) and Hendry Marine (shipyard). With a BS in Accounting from Florida Southern College, he started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. and subsequently joined Waste Management during their initial growth years, serving in financial and operational roles both in the U.S. and abroad. His mix of industry with various ownership structures (privately held, private equity and publicly held) provide him with a broad, unique and well-rounded background in managing people, processes and complex businesses. Mr. Long has served as an operator and / or board member with Madison Dearborn Partners, H.I.G. Capital, Linx Partners, Fort Point Capital and White Oak Global Advisors.
